Unknown to me I had a heart attack in January, the day after my 68th birthday. Feeling a bit rough over the next two days I finally visited my GP on Wednesday to be told 'I don't know what you are doing here, you had a heart attack on Sunday and should have dialled 999'. So I dialled 999 and ended up in A&E at Treliske Hospital. Tests confirmed that I had had a heart attack and at 1. 30am I was transferred to a ward. Lots more tests followed including an Angiogram that showed I had one blocked artery and two narrowing arteries so a triple bypass was required. Over the next week or so more tests followed accompanied by superb care and food then on Friday afternoon I was taken by ambulance to Bristol Royal Infirmary and operated on the next day. After recuperation I was driven in a BMW Paramedic estate car all the way to my front door near Falmouth. What more can I say but many thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses for such prompt and efficient care.
