"Excellent care"

About: North Tyneside General Hospital

I fell while hill walking last weekend and after admission to Hexham A&E I was transferred to Rake Lane Ward 9, the level of care was top class. The surgeons, nursing staff, ward ancillary staff & porters took great care of me before my operation and every part of the procedure was fully explained and my options clearly explained. On completion of the op the after care offered by the Physio team was caring and understanding, the follow up visits by the surgical team were again informative. When I was sent home time was spent explaining my medication to be taken and precautions to be taken, this was explained in a clear & precise manner. Many thanks Mark

Dear Mark, So sorry to hear that a fall in the hills brought you into our care, but obviously delighted that you feel so satisfied with every aspect of your care at Hexham and North Tyneside. Thanks for acknowledging the part that everyone in the team has made, your care sounds like it was very coordinated throughout and that is a very important priority for us. I do hope your recovery is going well and that you are going from strength to strength. Do let us know if you have any concerns at all. With best wishes + thanks again, Annie
