"Rude doctor who has no idea what she is talking..."

About: North Middlesex Hospital

I attended A&E on the first of March 2015 with a chemical accidently in my eye. My eye had swollon up and I was having difficultly seeing. After waiting a couple of hours and a bit more and getting very little support from a very unhelpful receptionist I was eventually called in by a doctor who couldn't communicate well enough to understand me. In short the doctor was very rude and possibly even racist. She didnt really know what see was talking about and keep interrupting me and even accused my daughter of punching me in the eye and clearly not a black eye cause my by my lovely daughter . Eventually after poking me in the eye with sticks she said she's not quite sure what's wrong with the eye but she recommended eye drops. Guess what happened next, she looked up on a ramdon American websit (emc) the dosage of the drops. I would had expected to take out an official looking nhs guidance book or as a bare minum the NHS choices website not a ramdon American Google site. Overal she was rude and inpatient and didn't inspire much confidence she then went on to say it is a basic A&E and if I would have had a problems with my eyes I would had gone to an eye clinic directly contradicting the advice from 111 which was to go to North Middlesex A&E. I do not recommend North middlesex A&E as the serivce is shambolic and the staff are rude and may acuse your beloved relatives of causing your injuries.

Thanks for your feedback. I’m the service manager for A&E, christopherdinsdale@nhs.net if you would like to contact me providing a few further details, I will follow up with the doctor concerned.
