About: King George Hospital

Patients give a swab in the nose, throat and groin. They sit on, lie on or lie in the beds. Non-patients are instructed not to sit on the beds. So why can the doctor in the urology ward flout the rules and sit on the beds? How many beds have you shared bacteria with? How many patients have you put at risk?

Thank you for comment. This is absolutely unacceptable, we have rules about people sitting on beds for a reason, and our staff are not above this. Please contact me via our PALS team on 01708 435 454 or email PALS@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk so I can investigate this further. Yours sincerely Nadeem Moghal Medical Director
