I have just arrived home from a short stay on Cookson Devas ward at Conquest Hospital.I fell and fractured my wrist in Seaford was x rayed in Eastbourne and then received surgery at Hastings. The care was wonderful and every single member of staff in both hospitals was kind, thoughtful and professional It made me proud of the NHS as well as relieved that a nasty injury has been treated with expertise so well and so quickly. I noticed the record of major hospital acquired infections for Cookson Devas ward was zero for the last two years which does credit for the cleanlinessa and general management of the ward.
