As a first time mum I came in for a dating scan. Although the lady I saw was lovely and polite; I felt rushed, didn't feel as if it was as special as it probably should have been and felt as if we were pushed in and out as quickly as possible to get to the next appointment. I didn't feel I had enough time to ask questions or look at the scan long enough. I understand that the staff see the same thing day in day out and I imagine it can get a little repetitive but I think they need to keep in mind that not everyone has been through this before and would like the experience to be an enjoyable one rather than feeling disheartened on the way home. I called the next day to book another appointment and the Midwife who answered was rude, didn't listen and seemed to view me as an inconvenience from the word go. Hopefully as the pregnancy progresses the service and general attitude will improve but my first impressions are really disappointing.
