I was given a peg tube as I cannot eat or swallow medication. My tube broke and I went to hospital to get it changed. I was told I had to be an inpatient and in order to have the tube refitted they wanted to keep me weeks. I felt this was for no reason and even when they get round to changing it, in my experience I always catch infections. Previously, I have been sent home with infections and well under weight. So I came home till my endoscopy was decided. Now I cannot feed or have medication.
