"Not notified by TRAQS regarding my appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I was sent an appointment from PRH Telford on Monday 29th December with a subsequent appointment at Royal Shrewsbury on the 30th December. If I did not ask the question with my consultant who told me that the Shrewsbury appointment was duplicated by TRAQS I would have been none the wiser. This is the second time TRAQS have done this without notifying me of the cancellation. Not acceptable! Especially due to the amount of travelling involved.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our request for feedback.

I welcome the opportunity to assure you that TRAQS do not rebook appointments. We book the initial appointment when speaking to the patient and any changes following this phone call are done by the hospital booking team and not the TRAQS team.It is the responsibility of the hospital to inform the patient of any cancellations made and not TRAQS.

I am sure you can appreciate that once the inital booking is made your care is then in the hands of the hospital you have chosen to attend and TRAQS have no further involvement in the appointment which has been agreed or any changes to that appointment.
