"Blown away by the speed with which my call was dealt with"

I’ve had a bad experience before but on this occasion I had an amazing experience. I was blown away by the speed with which my call was dealt with.

I was feeling unwell and didn't know what else to do because I have an autoimmune condition. I have to move quickly because of my condition and I didn’t want to go to A&E.

It took 6 minutes from calling to speak to the doctor to getting an appointment with the out of hours service. The operator put me through to the nurse – she said the doctor would ring me back but it could take around an hour. The doctor called me back in two minutes and got me the appointment.

In the end I needed antibiotics for a chest infection. I was well provided for. Given all the stuff you read in the press, this experience was completely simple, easy and efficient.
