"My sons bad ear infection"

About: Knowsley NHS Walk-in Centre, Huyton

(as a parent/guardian),

I visited my GP surgery with my son as he had a bad ear infection. My son was given a referral for Alder Hey in April, which I felt was a long time as he was in a lot of pain. His ear was in a bad way. It had fluid coming out of it and started smelling quite badly. I attended the walk-in centre and saw two nurses.

Both nurses agreed the wait was too long and my son needed to be seen sooner. They put a phone call in and got an appointment for 2 weeks time.

I want to thank the nurses for sorting this out for me. It took a lot off my mind.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback following your attendance at the walk in centre. We rely on service users to tell us about their experiences as this allows us to make changes where required. I will ensure your comments are feedback to the team.
