The Avenue medical practice is appalling. It is not possible to make a GP appointment for anything less than 3 weeks; this is ok if its a chronic condition but, if you are ill its no good at all. You cannot see a nurse unless its a 'medical emergency' and when you do get to see a nurse (which takes more than a week) its a practice nurse who isn't qualified to do an examination. I was advised that if I needed to see someone quickly there is a walk in centre in Sheffield. What is going on? are they playing politics? are they taking the cheap option to let people get better or die without having to attend to them. My dog has better medical care.
