"I was really happy with how quickly the TRAQS team operated"

About: Shropshire and Staffordshire Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I had tests carried out by my GP who said I needed to be seen by a consultant at a hospital. Nothing more was discussed on the telephone call about what was going to happen next. So it was a bit of a shock when TRAQS called me the next day. My GP has been wonderful to carry out initial tests but no explanation of what might happen next.

I have yet to find this out but I was really happy with how quick the TRAQS team operated. The old system took weeks and you had to contact a number yourself after no one in the past answered the phone. Now it feels like you have some control over your own health which is a bonus.

I’m not going to go see my GP till this week to discuss the test results, so for me and my experience it’s a bit back to front. Shame its not in the right order. If so I wouldn’t feel as nervous as I do now.

Dear Main804

Thank you for your positive feedback following your experience with TRAQS. All GP practices have been provided with a Patient leaflet to explain what happens next and who TRAQS are.

I hope that you're GP is able to put your mind at rest and provide answers to your questions when you see him next to discuss your test results.

We wish you well for the future.
