We are sorry that you experienced difficulties visiting your mother during her stay at the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust and for the distress that this has caused you. During outbreaks of norovirus visiting restriction are implemented on inpatient areas to reduce the risk of the infection spreading. However, you were clearly given conflicting information regarding the visiting restrictions, for which we would like to sincerely apologise. If you would like to contact the Trust’s Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01225 5656 or at ruh-tr.PatientAdviceandLiaisonService@nhs.net with the specific details we would be more than happy to investigate this matter further for you. Thank you for taking the time to contact the Trust to make us aware of this issue. **** It’s your hospital. Have your say.
