About: North Tyneside General Hospital

Had a health scare 4 weeks ago.Visited GP and was seen within a week by a consultant at Wansbeck. Scans performed today at North Tyneside.It was suggested I attend there as it was closer to home. Back to see the consultant next week at Wansbeck but seems that things are fine. Would just like to express my gratitude to all the staff concerned. Clerical staff were efficient,nurse friendly,and consultant very reassuring. In particular, I would like to praise the radiography department at North Tyneside.I had two scans performed within 30 minutes.The department was busy,however the staff were friendly and I really felt that I was treated as an individual without feeling rushed. Really saddened by bad press in the media at times regarding the nhs. I am really pleased to have Northumbria as my local trust.
