"Excellent Care in Wishaw General Hospital"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Attended Wishaw General Hospital severely septic and very unwell. The staff in A&E attended to me very quickly and were very kind and efficient. The excellent care continued in the Emergency Care Unit and Ward 6. I'd especially like to thank Dr. Hill and Sheena in ward 6 who I felt where very caring.

The only small issue that I had with my time in hospital was the amount of times I was moved around the hospital during my stay (5), otherwise a great big thank you to you all.

Dear KteD

I am sorry to hear how unwell you were and pleased that ED responded to your needs in a kind and efficient way.

Please be assured I will pass on your comments to Dr Hill and Sheena and all the staff involved in your care they will be delighted to know you found the care excellent and that they were caring.

I apologise profusely that you were moved so many times but the Emergency Care Unit assesses patients and starts treatment and then moves them on to the most appropriate ward. We do try where possible not to move patients but due to the demand for beds at times it is necessary but I agree 5 times is too many.

I hope you are recovering well and I will pass on your thanks to the staff.

Best Wishes

Marion
