"Dickens Ward wonders"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital

My Dad passed away Monday evening in Dickens (bed9) We cannot fault the care he was given. The staff were absolutely brilliant and all had experience in dealing with Alzheimers, as well as his other many medical conditions that would see his body failing him in the end. At no time did we feel he was in pain, or being ignored. The Dr was wonderful keeping us informed of all the was going on. The cleanliness of the ward was great, with the beds changed frequently. All this despite the staff having to deal with a blocked sink that was not attended to by maintenance. (Nearly a week) We will be returning to the ward to thank them. We are very grateful to them all, both day and night staff.
