"Churchill ward"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

After having my mum in watford hospital for two weeks she was transferred to Churchill ward Hemel Hempstead what a difference in the two hospital Watford hospital have really got there act together especially on cleanliness all drs and nurses before attending mum either sanitised or washed there hands unfortunately this has not been the case on Churchill ward The nurse that done the evening finger blood test to check sugar levels did not use a sterile wipe before pricking the finger or use a sterile wipe before giving an injecting into stomach I really feel this should be a priority plus the washing of hands between patients The food at watford has been greatly improved There is the same menu in Hemel but the food is not of the same standard and not served as hot Plus as churchill ward is for elderly people they don't bother going throgh the menu with the patients they are given what they get. When I go in to visit I have to ask for the menu sheet and go through it with mum to see what she wants a little more care could be shown to these vulnerable patients
