"Injection for hip problem"
About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary Doncaster Royal Infirmary Doncaster DN2 5LT
I was asked by my GP would I consider a hip replacement, after xray results confirmed severe arthritis, told by the hospital hip replacement not required. It was some thing to do with the Bur sac in my hip and leg would need an injection. The receptionist told me I would have to wait six months for this, which means I will have been in pain for over nine months when I finally receive the injection. Insufficient information given to me by the registrar who I had the referral with rather than the consultant I had requested at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. The quality of my life is nil at the moment and has been like this since November, my husband has been taking me out in a wheelchair because I could not bear to put my foot down onto the floor to walk, and my legs felt as though the flesh was on fire, I have been unable to sleep or bear bed cloths on my legs so have been so tired and worn out, at no time was I examined until my appointment with the registrar at the hospital. I feel I have been very neglected by my GP for over three months and now I have been told \I will have to wait six months for an injection. Very disappointed this cannot be done sooner.
