"terrably maternity care while giving hirth"

About: West Middlesex University Hospital

Went into labour and was asked to do a urine sample. Went into the loo whike my partner waited outside. As I was trying to get a sample my waters broke. I xaled for help but no reply. My partner has been hurried to another part of the corrider away from ear shot. What I had collected wasnt urine but my waters with poo in as the baby was disrressed and had poohed! I was shaking like a leaf, after I called again for hrlp and saw a nurse who I was tryi my to tell 7 had made a mess in the bathroom and they need a cleaner. I then had to ask where my partner was, after being reunitrd with him I was tol to sit on a bed in a room with 8 or so other women in labour. There was 2 nurses on the ward one of them had sat me on the bed and then left me after my waters broke for oven an hour. In that time the pain started. No one had attended to me or even tryed listening to me when I was trying to hand me sample over that had gone all wrong! I was hanging off the bed in pain wanting gas and air or some anyone to attended to me but no one did. Eventually a student nurse un supervised came to put some kind of drip on me. She got it wrong n panaked. She pulled it out and blood was squirting out all over. She put it back in a taped it up sooo tight my arm went blue. I asked for gas and air and the nurse refused saying it wont do anything for me and I must have an epidural. Another couple if hours and later I was given gas and and air and an epidural. Why wouldnt the nurse give it to me? My arm was now completly numb with pain from the tape I was crying with agony trying to rip it of but I couldnt and the nurses wouldnt help. Eventually the nurse took my urine sample then had a go at me for not explaning what it was. Although they were so ignorant and wasnt listening, I was strapped up and told by the miswife to lay in one side. The nurse kept telling me to turn, then midwife said turn round and nurse saying move again. I was tired of this and confused. Eventually I found out the cord was wrapped around the babys neck n the nurse shouldnt have kept moving me. She didnt talk to me the whole time, blood still cut off from the tape on my arm! Before going into the delivery room the nurse asked if I need a wheelchair which I said yes. Then said no you need to walk. I was angry. Not once did anyone open my maternity noted which I had loads of requests etc. I was soo upset. It was the worst experience. After the birth the nurse said oh it's you the girl making alk the fuss. Was it worth it? Dam l was I annoyed. Still no one to take the tape off I had to prise it off ripping my skin! Do not go to this hospital i was appaled and never again!
