"appointments aways cancelled + no one ever answers..."

About: Maidstone District General Hospital

As an outpatient for diabetic eye treatment, I have no issue with the actual treatment BUT I'm getting sick of appointments regularly being altered - PLUS it is impossible to get anyone to answer the phone re these changed appointments! The NHS quite rightly moans about patients not keeping appointments, but apparently they seem happy to constantly change our appointments meaning constant re-arrangements by the patients (sometimes very awkward situations can arise here!) and a lot of wasted time. If the NHS can't make and keep to appointment schedules, why waste time and money sending out letters to only have to send following letters changing appointment after appointment. Hopeless. Also, I have just had an appointment cancelled (13 March 2015) which I had carefully arranged to coincide with another appointment in the same dept - thus I could save time and money by only travelling to the hospital once with a saving of both money and work time. Naturally, the incompetence of the appointments system at Maidstone has now destroyed that dual appointment arrangement - and of course no one answers the phone to discuss this matter. Vey very annoying and irritating!
