Having attended clinics, the physiotherapy dept and maternity clinics I have noticed a pattern develop. You receive an appointment time and arrive on or before that appointment time yet still have to wait at least half an hour past your appointment time before your seen (on one occasion we waited well over an hour) This is bad practice from the hospital clinics but it's understandable that some appointment run on longer than expected. However we felt on several occasions that we weren't properly listened to or treated in a correct manner. The second issue that I have with this is I was 5 mins late for an appointment and was prepared to wait for another as the next person had been taken in but was dismissed for being late due to no fault of my own. It seems to be strict rules for me and a very lax set for the doctors and nurses. If your going to set a time stick by it, if your running late at least inform us that's the case and don't just leave us sitting over an hour and having to ask you why.
