"Thank God For The NHS"

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I was admitted to the Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield for an operation. It was the first operation that I have ever had. The care that I received on ward F2 was very good. Nursing staff provided an excellent service and they worked as a team with the doctors. One thing that I noticed was that the staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and take pleasure in caring for patients.

During my stay at the hospital one of my lungs collapsed and the doctors acted very quickly to diagnose and treat the problem.

I am now at home continuing my period of recovery. Before I left the ward I was given clear information about what to expect during my period of recovery, I was also encouraged to contact the ward if I did not understand the information or if I needed any advice.

I would like to say thank you to the staff on Ward F2 for the way in which they cared for me.
