I feel that I must write to express to you my heartfelt thanks for the dedication, efficiency and humanitarian way that all the staff treated me during my recent stay on F2.
The level of care was truly outstanding and I believe this to be partly due to the fact that each member of staff treated me as more than just my illness alone. Staff members (from housekeeping to senior Sister) would take the time to talk to me, to listen to me and to understand me as whole person and in doing so built trusting and therapeutic relationships.
Finding oneself unexpectedly ill, in an alien environment and away from family and friends could have been a dreadful experience but due to the staffs compassionate approach to care I felt at ease and assured and I am certain that this contributed significantly to my recovery.
Finally, I would like to say (not only as a patient but also as a former care manager of numerous residential units) that I have never experienced such a well-managed and efficient ward, nor have I ever met a team of staff who are as dedicated, compassionate and truly caring as I did on F2.
Thank you all. You all made my stay so much better than it would have been without each and every one of you! Your kind and friendly attitudes will never be forgotten!
"Outstanding level of care and support"
