My child had been poorly and was brought in by ambulance after midnight. The department was extremely busy with wait times of over 3 hours. The staff were great although the actual waiting area was horrendously dirty. The toilets were also in a bad state. Considering this is a hospital I expected a higher level of cleanliness.

Your positive feedback about the staff in the department is appreciated and has been shared with the Clinical Lead and Modern Matron. We would also like to thank you for highlighting your concerns about the cleanliness in the department during the night. Your comments are supportive as negotiations are currently under way to provide improved domestic (cleaning) services out of hours.
