I had a heart attack whilst I was away and went to Shrewsbury Royal, then to Stoke Hospital for a stent. I was then transferred to Northern General as well as spending some time at Brompton General in London.
I have no complaints about anyone: the paramedics were always on time, the doctors very good and the nursing staff - well I cannot praise them enough. I was always treated with dignity and privacy. Everyone was kind and sympathetic. I had to wait a little while for a bed at Shrewsbury - I was on a corridor but it wasn't distressing.
I have just this week finished my rehab in Sheffield, where both the physios and nurses were very good. I have not been in hospital since I was 10 years old (I am nearly 76), and the staff made my experience less frightening.
