"Encounter with an unsympathetic consultant"

I went for a CT scan today and was unable to proceed with the CT scan due to severe claustrophobia.

I asked to stop the procedure before it started, to not waste the unit's precious time. A consultant came to see me and I was basically bullied - told I had "a serious attitude problem" and then he said: "Well just die young then" and he walked out.

I was there today as I may have a tumour. One of the symptoms of the tumour is high blood pressure and claustrophobia. I left today in tears having been told by a unsympathetic consultant who is being paid a lot of money to "go home and die".

I am making a formal complaint for one simple reason: that I don't want anyone else going through the trauma I have been through today.
