"Delays in helping me with my pain"

Since early 2008 I have had Kidney Stones. I am being treated by the Urology Department. Firstly two attempts with Lithotripsy that caused me extreme pain, the first ended with my emergency admission. Now having seen my Consultant in June and being told, “see you in a couple of months”, it has become four months. I feel there is no help available despite the fact I now have extreme pain and blood continuously in my urine.

It’s now virtually a year that I have continual pain and delayed help. I found there have been long delays between seeing the Doctors and treatment. I now sleep very badly and suffer depression from it all. I feel no one seems to be able to help with what is a quite minor ailment in respect to the treatment needed to make me well again. There seems to be no arrangement to deal with unexpected emergencies in the booking system which is full up and inflexible. I feel totally let down by the Hospital and the Staff when I need their help the most. This is the situation now!
