From calling 111(17.00hrs on a Sunday) the ambulance arrived within minutes, attending medics were faultless, reassured Mum whilst attending to her needs. Transferred to A&E at Medway, my word …………. what an "eye opener." Shame on everyone who remains so very critical of this department. Considering the catchment area and population this hospital covers, A&E has a constant bombardment of ambulances/stretchers/red phone alerts, staff are so restricted, due to the lack of treatment area/space and equipment. Standards of care my mum received from all levels were exemplary, most times under very difficult circumstances. These days it would appear that it is ``open season’’ to condemn the service or treatment we receive from the NHS, but rarely do we take the time to express our gratitude or to offer praise for it. I would like to take this opportunity to correct this situation; I personally have nothing but praise and admiration for the way in which my Mum was treated
"Well earned praise"
