"retinal detachment"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

I meant to do this at the time but better late than never! On 23 July 2014 I realised I had lost most of the vision in my left eye. I went to the doctor (town green Aughton) the next day (should have gone straight to St Pauls) and referred immediately to Southport and then on to St Pauls where I was scheduled for next day surgery. Saw a member of staff in pre op who was brilliant. Operated on by a surgeon and his team later that day - painless. Have been seen regularly since op and made good recovery. Finally just to say the treatment I received at every stage was terrific and thanks for saving my sight.
