"What a brilliant A & E department!"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

My elderly mother fell in Tenterden early this week so we called an ambulance for help. We cannot speak too highly of the care and attention we received from both drivers who not only reacted brilliantly to her medical needs but made her feel very special and put her at her ease. We arrived at the hospital and and were transferred to the minor injury unit promptly where my mother's needs were very quickly assessed. She needed an X-ray for which we waited about 25 minutes but meanwhile all her wounds were dealt with very efficiently. All the staff were all charming and exceedingly helpful and we left after two hours with an appointment at my mother's fracture clinic sorted, and all her wounds and fractures suitably treated. When I had realised that afternoon that we were heading for A&E I envisaged a long and difficult afternoon for us all but we were all treated with so much care and attention which made the whole experience relatively easy and my mother left with a smile on her face!
