Was in A and E from 12.30 pm to nearly 8 pm before a bed was found for me - no beds available and no cubicles and spent most of the time in the waiting area or on a trolley in a very narrow corridor. Told that the problems were down to Gloucester A and E being closed. Nurses and doctors were doing their best in almost third world conditions. Heard many similar stories.and not only on that particular day. Same thing happened to our MP's mother some weeks ago so nothing much has changed. Staff all blamed the management for the problems.
"Deplorable waiting time at A and E - total chaos"
