About: Leeds General Infirmary Wharfedale Hospital

(as a relative),

A close relative was recently in the LGI - ward 62 - excellent care and cleanliness.

On a recent follow up visit to Wharfedale I saw a nurse blow her nose, put her hankie in her pocket, and then I specifically watched to see if she washed her hands, or used sanitizer ... neither. Very disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent visits to Leeds General Infirmary and Wharfedale Hospital.

I was pleased to hear that you received excellent care at LGI. But I was disappointed to read that the nurse at Wharfedale Hospital didn't wash her hands.

I shall pass your comments onto the Patient Relations Manager at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
