"Difficulties with MRI appointment at UCH"

Arrive for consultancy and find 5 other people have same appointment. Mistake admitted.

Consultant wants me to have a MRI scan I am told an appointment will be forth coming. After 3 weeks I phone to be told I am not on the register? I am put on, but now I am 3 weeks down the line.

I then have 5 appointments made and then cancelled. When I call to say the latest appointment is after my consultants appointment, at which time the consult needs the scan results, I am VERY firmly told if I do not attend this appointment I will be put to the end of the waiting list again.

I then call the consultants appointment office only to be told the same. If I do not attend the appointment I will go to end of waiting list. I have a serious condition and now if I follow the hospital appointments department instructions I will waste the very valuable time of a specialist consultant and still not have moved my treatment forward.

I have been in the Kafka world now for three months!
