On several occasions I have visited my friend in respite, the hospital and staff are very nice, however, I have noticed on numerous visits that my friend is often sitting feeling cold and staff do not seem to notice.
I have feeling that my friend won't say they are feeling the cold and even if asked such a question by staff - will tell the staff what they think they want to hear and not what is really the case.
To check whither a person is cold all one has to do, is touch that person's hand.
Since Nursing evolved into a Degree Course I feel that common Sense, in many cases, would appear to have disappeared from the curriculum
