"Poor experience of orthopaedic care at St Marks"

One year ago my wife broke a femur and after a 48 hour wait it was set.

After a few days on a nursing ward where all was pronounced well she went to recuperation ward. Here, after 2 days she complained of the heavy handed treatment by the evening staff who obviously wanted to go home.

The next day they were much worse (whether they had been rebuked we will never know) and was so heavily handled that she screamed and was in great pain thereafter.

Three days of complaining to staff nurse and doctor, finally a doctor NOT associated with the ward caused an x-ray exam, and soon an operation to reset leg. It has never been satisfactory, she cannot walk on it and has much pain to this day.
