"planned C section cancelled after preparing me for..."

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

I had a c section planned today 17th February 2015, after complications due to pre eclampsia, and previous large baby with shoulder distocia. I have mental health problems. And suffer from agrophobia/ depression and have had severe anxiety throughout this pregnancy, especially due to been closely monitored for Pre eclampsia and even being an inpatient on 2 occasion within the last month. I finally had come to the day where all this was supposed to be coming to an end fasted from 11.30pm the previous night and abstained from drinking. On arrival I was located a bed space on delivery went through the paperwork, had my canulas put in after several attempts. I was told I would soon be receiving the gown for theatre. 5 mins later I was told the c section was cancelled, as there was no beds for my baby on S.C.B.U. The midwife informed me she wasn't sure who was going to receive the last gown as it was between me and another lady also waiting a C section. Then she informed me the reason the other lady got chosen for the c section was because she had been messed about before. It was basically a lottery pick for receiving treatment, and I was put through painful invasive procedures, and weeks of anxiety only for this to be cancelled and me having to go through it all again. I also am being monitored for my mental health something which is greatly suffering due to being put through unnecessary stress and procedures and one minute being told I am having surgery for it to be cancelled, due to poor communication .
