I attended the ENT department this afternoon. I was early for my appointment as I was not sure where I was going. I was taken into the department early, the specialist nurse was absolutely lovely (I attended for wax removal from my ear)., She made me feel at ease and explained what was happening. As I wear two hearing aids I mentioned that I could not have new moulds made until the wax had been removed. She asked if I attended the walk in clinics and I said yes. She offered to speak to a colleague to have the moulds done there and then, which they were. She also suggested I have the wax removal every six months and gave me a note to make an appointment. This will save so much time and effort, as usually I have to go to the doctor to have my ears syringed and if that doesn't work I have to be referred to the hospital. This will save me a trip to my GP. I was very impressed both with the customer care and service, and would have no hesitation in recommending this treatment for anyone who wears hearing aids.
