I have recently had a short stay on f4 needing treatment to an abscess, I can not fault the staff from meeting them in A&E to being discharged. After being seen in triage and refered to ENT I then met 2 of there doctors/consultants who were both very understanding of how much pain I was is, they were extremely clear with regards to what treatment I needed and made sure I understood that I needed to be admitted and moved to F4. On arriving on the ward I was seen to straight away and booked in by 2of there student nurses who were very thorough and professional from blue team, I started treatment straight away and made feel comfortable, the ward was clean and staff were pleasant at all times, which is a comfort when your distressed and in pain. I then needed a general to have my abscess drained again the staff were great in theatre who were very funny but professional and made me relax after a few tears, again can not be faulted. I was discharged the day after given the relevant paper work and medicines explained. I have since had to go back today to have it drained again which I knew might happen, this time with a local but because I was met by the same 2 doctors as 1st time it wasn't that daunting and I felt more at ease as I felt they knew my case. I am 100% happy with all the treatment I have been given by every member of staff I met. I have still to go back in to have further surgery but not as worried as I have been previously whilst awaiting past operations.
