"I cannot fault anything from reception to the medical staff"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

I had pain in my left side and a bubbling feeling. I went to my GP who referred me to the QMC for an x-ray. After the x-ray, the radiographer sent me to A&E department. I was checked in at reception by a very friendly male receptionist. I didn’t wait too long and a doctor and student doctor cam and told me I had a Pneumothorax on my left lung. I was a little worried but was reassured and they said I would need a chest drain. This was done immediately in the resuscitation room. I was then admitted to ward B3 to wait which ward I was going to. I ended up on D58. I cannot fault anything. I thought all the staff from reception through to tea ladies and all the medical staff were superb and very reassuring and friendly. I felt the hospital was very clean. Everything was explained thoroughly which put us all at ease. If I had to criticise something it would be the food. It wasn’t awful but could have been better.
