"I was treated with respect and courtesy but had anxious wait"

I was rang at home and offered an appointment the next day, I managed to take time off work to attend. The appointment was for 10am but I was not called in to see the doctor until 10.30am. I was very anxious about my condition and getting back to work and there was no explanation about the delay. The nurse (Mandy) was very nice and so was the doctor as he listened to me and explained everything by answering my questions. The surgery was booked for one week time. I was treated with respect and courtesy apart from the anxious wait. Very good service. I am anxious about the surgery, it would have been helpful to have someone I could contact prior to this with any further questions I may have, but if the ward is as good as the out patient department I feel I will receive good service. Just hope it’s nothing really serious like cancer!
