"A & E totally disgusting place"

Had to take my grandson into a&e on Sat pm on advice of out of hours doctor - we had to wait for over 4 hours - he was quite poorly but then again they were very busy. It was filthy everywhere - the toys in the waiting area were disgusting - it is no wonder germs spread the way they do - in my opinion they should be thrown away and if parents want their children to play with toys they should take their own. It was boiling hot and surely thats how germs spread ?? My grandson then had an accident on the chair his mum and myself tried our best to clean it up - we did ask someone to clean it - she brought a cloth that was filthy sprayed a little of what I presume was disinfectant - but didn't smell like it wiped over it and left. We looked in amazement. We tried again to clean it ourselves. We were eventually admitted to childrens ward and then transferred to Sheffield Childrens Hosptial at 4 am in the morning - and may I say they are wonderful - the cleanliness is spot on and anything you ask of them is never too much trouble I hope and pray we never have to go in DRI again
