"My daughter was admitted due to asthma attack"

About: Newham General Hospital

The initial nite in paediatrics was rude suggesting implying I had made my daughter worse and kept her suffering , I told her she was rude and I was so angry, I had did all I could do bit this attack was a bad one which worsened rapidly. The rest of drs and nurses in paediatrics and rainbow ward was great always polite and professional and treated my daughter well. The initial nurse should be put on a course to learn how to deal with the public / parents in a distressing time. She apologised just b4 we went to the ward probably because she could hear me saying I was going to report her and I still am

Please accept our sincere apologies for the rudeness you received from the nurse when you first brought your daughter in. This behaviour is in no way acceptable. Thank you for sharing your experience. We have passed on your comments to the team at Newham to share. We hope that your daughter is feeling much better. Best wishes Barts Health NHS Trust
