I had been advised by my GP to attend the hospital, as there was a very high chance I may have deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The blood test came back really high and I went to the Royal Hallamshire and waited 8 hours to be told that they still didn’t know and had to return the following day for a scan. When I first arrived there wasn’t any other place for me to sit but at the bottom of someone else’s bed whilst she had her family visit her. I returned the next day for a scan and waited another four hours. In my opinion I was treated like someone that had broken the law, not a tax payer who was ill!!
