Having had surgery in the New Vascular Centre at Southmead Hospital for an endovascular repair to an aortic aneurysm in late November 2014, I would like to express my appreciation to the Surgical team involved, throughout my treatment the courtesy and information given were first class. The only slight irritation I had however did not involve the surgical team, but a discussion which took place on the ward in reference to my discharge, when a senior nurse wanted to send me home the following day and I had to point out that I actually lived 200 miles away,in fairness she was probably not aware of this and as it was late afternoon transfered me to a temporary discharge ward. Again the staff there, were both kind and considerate. I would recomend anyone in a similar situation to myself to use this new facility as in my opinion it is World Class.
