"So thorough"

About: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a relative),

2weeks after having his hip replaced my husband fell in the kitchen, and was unable to get up. The paramedics were called, and after a short wait they were 3 on site with their equipment. They made the impossible job of getting him on his feet look so easy, and no damage to the newly implanted hip. All three of them showed great patience, and consideration of the situation, and inspired confidence that they could handle the problem. They were so thorough that my husband did not have to go back to the hospital of which we were both thankful.

Dear

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I hope your husband is continuing to recover following his hip replacement.

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients when they need us most.

I would like to pass your kind comments onto the ambulance crews who came to your aid. Would you be able to contact me, laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk or call 01392 453831, at your convenience, with the date and address that the ambulance attended? This would allow me to identify the staff involved and ensure they are recognised for the care they gave.

Thank you again for providing feedback on our service.

Kind regards

Laura
