"A n E hell"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

11th feb 2015 Having contacted a virus they think is pnuemonia I had an asthma attack, my husband contacted shrop doc , After 45 mins they rang after insisting they talk to me they quickly decided to send an ambulance, which came within 5 mins. Was given nebulizer no result they decided i was really ill need to go hospital on the way they gave me a mixture of some sort promising it would help it did by time i arrived at hospital i was at least able to talk slightly and feeling a lot better. I was then moved onto a trolley and put in the corridor the ambulance man told me no cubicles they will get to me soon as they can. after an hour ambulance man getting rather stressed he still having to wait with me so goes for a word.I needed loo so went with aid from hubbie still struggling to breathe an feeling sick get to loo nurse stops me going in an asks can i wait this woman needs to go in first to do a sample,ok i say can i have a bowl i feel sick she gives me one. I then have to stand against my hubbie for support an throw up in front of all around nice not, come out ambulance man takes me to my trolley now moved the other side of corridor where i presume i can be seen an he can go. 3 hrs later having not once since my arrival even been aknowledged or spoken to by any nurse my hubbie dares to go to nurse station and ask a staff nurse how long before i see anyone " we r very busy cant u see u will be seen when we can" ok no need for that attitude he says she glares at him steps towards him in a threatening way says attitude the stops herself and walks off.Hubbie bit shocked looks up at notes on wall hoping to see how many to be seen she storms back Move away this a nursing station go and wait, he does saying nothing.next 30 minutes she is seen to be telling other staff about the altercation as they keep popping there heads round and looking at us. eventually 45 mins later a dr comes eaxamines my chest and back on the trolley in front of all while patients from seating area outside are being shown through. offers me a nebulizer ive only waited as ive been told by ambulance man i need an xray down to previous pnuemonia and pleurisy,Ive had enough wrongly so I walk out deciding it better to see own dr tomorrow than continue with this fiasco lack of dignity aggression rudeness and total lack of any patient care what so ever I figure o well I have no name tag on not been spoken to by any nurse apart from being asked to wait for loo who cares certainly not the staff on shift in A n E that night . And i want a personal apology to myself and husband from this nurse.
