"Extremely poor communication"

About: Yeovil District Hospital

Ongoing difficulties with ENT who seem to refuse to reply to my questions about my diagnosis and treatment. Then referred to the therapy epartment in the hospital, very poor referral letter and had to repeat my medical history again. This took up most of my hour appointment, the rest of the appointment being taken up doing tests that the ENT consultant had performed but they needed to do them again to confirm my word for it! Next appointment will start will ongoing test/assessment before any treatment can be considered. The therapy staff were friendly, professional who clearly explained their assessment process. It is just a shame that as it is the same hospital, the service should be more seemless. PALS initially gave me a very speedy response but now seem to be avoiding my queries too. I would have reported this further observation of my experience to PALS but have lost confidence in their affectiveness or influence. Would I recommend Yeovil District Hospital to friends and family? No.
