"Ward 21"

About: The Royal Victoria Infirmary

Visited the above Ward with my 80 father for cataract surgery today. We arrived and he had a scan ahead of his appointment time and just sat down, and up to theatre before 1 pm, his consultant work without a lunch break to get threw his list quicker. The only thing that would be nice, would be , when booking in if an approximate time of discharge could be given would be great.10/10 Ken

Many thanks for the positive feedback about your recent experience on Ward 21, our Cataract day unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The staff really appreciate feedback about the service and care that they provide and will be greatly encouraged by your remarks. Thank you also for your suggestion regarding information about estimated discharge times. We know that patients often need collecting by friends or relatives and would appreciate this information. Whilst it is difficult to predict discharge times depending on the outcome of your surgical procedure and other factors that affect the running of the surgery lists we will certainly take your comments into account when updating our patient information leaflets. Thank you once again for your feedback.
