About: Russells Hall Hospital

I was an outpatient who, on many occasion told the doctor's i was having pain in my neck and my back shoulder, chest and elbow and also my ribs after being struck by a lorry crossing the road i did hav mua to my shoulder but i was still in pain i cldnt get the doctor's to listen to me about my other injuries i i was told there was nothing that could be done for me i have since had a 2nd opinion and im now recovering from shoulder surgery and further scans over 3yrs after the accident have revealed damage to my neck and my back i also have a bone sticking out in my chest, this along with my other iwmjuries are not in any of my med records, after a recent stay in russells hall hospital for a seperate issue i was told by a doctor that my liver had been moved (right side) same side the truck hit me surely these injuries can not be put down to wear&tear like i was told at russells hall im also left handed, hospitals should be a place of trust and care and unfortunately i haven't recieved any.julian wilson

Thank you, Julian, for taking the time to give us feedback. We are aware that you made a formal complaint to the Trust, which has been investigated under the NHS Complaints Regulations, and that a local resolution meeting has been held with you. We have since advised you that we consider the complaints process complete and recommended that, if you are still unhappy, you contact the Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman which is the second stage of the NHS complaints procedure. You can complete an online complaints form at this address: http://www.ombudsman.org.uk/make-a-complaint/how-to-complain. Alternatively, you can phone their customer helpline on 0345 0154033 which is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Thank you.
