"Excellent care that my father received from Monklands Hospital"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Urology (Ward 6)

(as a relative),

My father was admitted to Ward 6 after becoming unwell due to a near renal failure from his prostate cancer. During his stay his condition worsened and we we're given the devastating news his cancer had spread to his bowels and nothing else could be done due to him being 82 and very frail. The staff in this ward's professionalism, care and support was 2nd to none. A special thank you to the care assistants Catherine, Jacqueline and an extra thank you to Maureen Lochren who provided excellent support and empathy to both my dad and to us as a family. She is an asset to this ward. Thank You All xx

Dear T A M

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience of ward 6, Monklands Hospital, I appreciate receiving such news about your elderly Father is such a shock and also very frightening.

I am glad to learn the staff cared not only for your Father but also for you and your family and helped support you through a very difficult time.

I will pass on your kind comments to the ward staff, I'm sure they will be delighted to learn of the impact they had.

Kind regards

Ruth
